<p>The island has very good wind statistics. From June to September, the famous Meltemi caused by a pressure difference between the Balkans and Turkey blows daily from 4 to 6 Beauforts. This northeast wind is reliable from morning until late afternoon. Freestyle and freeride maniacs will love the superb flat water right next to the centre, while just a few metres downwind, you will find ideal conditions for your first wave riding. The small, gently breaking waves are just made for it!&nbsp;<br></p>

<p>Lemnos offers flat water, chop and waves all on one beach, with fantastic wind and warm conditions during the summer months.&nbsp;The wind blows here generally along the shore or at an angle to and from shore - depending on the location in the bay. The bottom is sandy, the water clean and transparent, and shallow for about 80-150 meters from the shore! The beaches are sandy and wide, so finding a spot to rig equipment is easy. There is no significant tidal movements, so the water level stays almost the same throughout the day. This great spot offers a variety of conditions from super flat water to small chop and gentle waters, all within walking distance of centre. This is also the perfect place to learn to windsurf with a large expanse of flat water, a sandy bottom and consistent winds.<br></p>

<p>Kitesurfing Lessons with a personal instructor gives you the opportunity to have a 1-on-1 interaction with your instructor to help you learn at a pace that is driven by you. The Learn To Kitesurf course aims to get you riding, while also teaching you how to read the conditions and utilise your equipment safely and correctly.</p><div>You will start with the basics; this includes setup of your equipment, safety features that you will utilise and how to fly a small 2metre trainer kite. When your instructor feels you are ready you can then head to the water. On day one you will only be using the kite and not go on the board just yet. Entering the water is when the fun starts! Here you will be taught how to properly fly an inflatable kitesurfing kite, how to control your kite and what to do if you crash it in the water. On day one you will be comfortable flying the kite and know what to do in any situation.</div>

This includes how to lift the sail up from the water to your first rides in both directions. Groups are rarely more than 6 people.<br></p><p>Your course includes board, sail, wetsuit, life jacket and insurance.</p><p>Never been on a board but feels like the water and wind are calling your name? In the beginner course, you&nbsp;will learn the basics, such as how to stand up on the board, how to go upwind, and the basics and theory of jibing and tacking. You will understand the directions of the wind and gradually will gain confidence on the water! Introductory lessons typically take place either in the morning or in the afternoon, depending on the wind conditions.&nbsp;<br></p><p></p>

<p>The latest addition to the world of wind-powered watersports, wing foiling allows you to quickly and safely fly over the water.&nbsp;</p><p>Your introduction to wing foiling will start with a short theory lesson in which you will learn how to carry the wing, steer it, and turn it to catch the wind. You will then go into the water fully equipped with a wetsuit, life jacket, wing, and a large surfboard. The next step is to refine your handling of the wing on the water as you learn to surf for the first time in light wind on smooth water. As you make progress, you will be able to surf independently.&nbsp;</p><p>After you have learned the basics of handling the wing, you can move on to mastering the foil which gives that wonderful feeling of flying silently over the water. With the support of a speed boat, you can enjoy foiling for the first time without the wing or wind. This will help you to learn how to stabilize the board. Finally, you will put all the steps together as you learn how to handle and control the wing on the foil board. You will soon be flying, driven by the wind, without a motor and almost no noise, feeling very light and almost weightless. Now you're a wingfoil surfer!&nbsp;</p>
