Booking Terms & Conditions
Planet Travel Online, a division of Planet Travel Holidays · ATOL T7312 · TTA member R9632
1. Your booking
Planet Travel Online is a division of Planet Travel Holidays (Planet Travel Ltd). When you make a booking request through this website you are asking us to arrange the holiday services shown in your booking summary. Your booking is confirmed when we issue a written confirmation invoice. Please check your confirmation carefully and tell us about any errors within 24 hours of receiving it - names must match passports exactly.
2. Passports and visas
You are responsible for ensuring that every member of your party holds a valid passport and any visas required for your itinerary. We are happy to point you to official guidance, but the responsibility for travel documents rests with you. We cannot accept liability, or offer a refund, if you are refused travel or entry because your documents are not in order.
3. Vaccinations and health
Health and vaccination requirements change. Please check the current requirements for your destination with your GP, a travel clinic or the official government guidance in good time before departure. It is your responsibility to meet them.
4. Deposits and payment
A deposit (minimum £50 per person, or the higher amount shown at the time of booking) is payable when you book. The balance of your holiday price is due by the date shown on your confirmation invoice. If the balance is not received by the due date we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled by you, and cancellation charges will apply.
A 2.5% handling charge applies to payments made with credit cards issued outside the United Kingdom.
5. Changes in price
In the unlikely event of increases in taxes, duties or adverse currency movements after your booking is confirmed, we reserve the right to increase the price of your holiday by no more than 10%. We will absorb increases below this level wherever we reasonably can.
6. Local charges
Some destinations levy tourist taxes, park fees, marine conservation fees or similar charges payable locally, and some centres charge locally for equipment insurance or facilities. Unless expressly stated, such local charges are not included in your holiday price.
7. Prices and special offers
Prices shown on this website are live and can change. Offers and discounts cannot be applied retrospectively to bookings already confirmed.
8. Financial protection
Flight-inclusive holidays are protected under the ATOL scheme (ATOL T7312). Holidays and travel services that do not include flights are protected through our membership of the Travel Trust Association (TTA member R9632): your money is held in a trust account and is 100% financially protected.
Where your holiday includes a flight and ground arrangements, these may be supplied under two separate contracts - the flight under the ATOL of the issuing carrier or consolidator, and the ground arrangements protected through the TTA trust arrangement.
9. Liability and force majeure
We accept responsibility for arranging your holiday with reasonable skill and care. We cannot accept liability for events beyond our reasonable control, including (for example) war, civil unrest, industrial dispute, natural disaster, epidemics or pandemics, adverse weather or lack of wind or suitable sea conditions, or the acts or omissions of third parties unconnected with your holiday.
10. Problems and complaints
If something is not right during your holiday, please tell the local supplier or centre and contact us straight away so we have a genuine opportunity to fix it while you are still travelling. If a problem cannot be resolved locally, please put your complaint in writing to us within 30 days of your return.
11. Pre-booked sports services
Sports services (for example diving packs, lessons, clinics, rentals and courses) booked in advance and not used may, at the supplier's discretion, be exchanged for a credit note rather than a cash refund. Advertised coaches or hosts for clinics and camps may change for reasons beyond our control; a change of host is not grounds for cancellation without charge.
12. Diving and liveaboards
Diving requires appropriate certification, and you must carry proof of qualification (and, where required, a medical declaration). Liveaboard and dive itineraries are subject to weather, sea state and the authority of the captain and crew, and may change without notice in the interests of safety.
13. Baggage and equipment
Baggage, including sports equipment carriage, is governed by the policies of the airline you fly with. Please check allowances and fees for boards, kites, foils and dive equipment directly with the carrier before travelling.
14. Cancellation by you
Cancellations must be made in writing by the lead passenger. If you cancel before your balance due date, your deposit is forfeited. If you cancel after the balance due date, the full holiday price is forfeited. We strongly recommend holiday insurance that covers cancellation.
15. Amendments and name changes
If you ask us to change a confirmed booking, an amendment fee of £25 per new invoice applies in addition to any charges made by suppliers. Name corrections are free within 24 hours of booking; after that, airline and supplier charges may apply.
16. Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is a condition of booking. Your policy should cover medical expenses, repatriation, cancellation and the sports you plan to do (including, where relevant, diving to your certified depth, kitesurfing, windsurfing and wingfoiling).
17. Your information
To deliver your holiday we share the personal information you give us with the suppliers who provide it (such as airlines, hotels, transfer companies and sports centres), some of whom may be outside the UK. We only share what is needed to provide the services you have booked.
